Grooved roller profile
Machined shallow helical grooves into the filament field. Wrapped film tends to travel along a groove to the end of the roller instead of building up in the middle, which is where the drive load concentrates.

Filament specification
Moved to a stiffer polypropylene with a slightly shorter trim length. Softer, longer filament wraps more readily because it deflects around debris rather than cutting past it.

End-cap sealing
Added a sealed end cap on the drive side. Film fragments were previously working into the bearing area, which was the actual cause of two of the overload trips.
