Custom Suction Blade for Floor Scrubbers in an International Airport

Customer Type: An international airport (45 million annual passenger throughput, 80,000 ㎡ terminal cleaning area)

Customization Demand:

Adapt to Gaomei GM110BT ride-on floor scrubbers; the original rubber blade had obvious water residue when cleaning marble floors and was prone to hardening and cracking in low-temperature environments (terminal air conditioning cooling in winter); require water absorption rate of over 99% and service life extended to 3 months

Solution:

Material Selection: Adopt imported EPDM rubber with anti-aging agents and low-temperature toughening agents, maintaining flexibility and elasticity in environments ranging from -10℃ to 60℃

Structural Design: The rubber blade adopts a double-lip arc design, ensuring uniform pressure distribution on the ground; the water absorption gap is controlled at 0.3mm to improve water absorption efficiency; a wear-resistant layer is added at the bottom, increasing thickness from 12mm to 15mm

Adaptation Adjustment: Optimize the rubber blade installation angle to 15° according to the airport floor scrubber’s operating speed (3km/h) to reduce frictional resistance
